It has been something I was quite interested in for a long time. Capturing a specific moment and make it look as good as possible, isn't that just perfect? Playing with colours, views, perspectives, light, scenery and everything you actually see.
I used to love it, I love it now and I'll probably love it in the future.
I used to make pictures all the time, with a simply small camera using a super-macro feature. I liked capturing small things in detail, showing how much even smaller things were to be found on that tiny object. I didn't only do it to be able to show these things though, I wanted to see them for myself.
Even though this was really fun to do, after a while with a compact camera, things get boring. I sometimes used the Olympus camera my, back then, girlfriend used to have. I found out that a bigger camera with nice lenses and adjustable shutter speed etc. was way more capable of capturing good views!
It's now a while later and I still didn't get myself a nice SLR camera. I thought it was time I got one. One of my good friends immediately found one for me. She has the same one and thus knew it would be a pretty good camera for me.
It was a used camera, so I wasn't sure at first whether I should go on and buy it, or save money for a new one. It's a Nikon D40, so a pretty good camera as well, according to the results I've seen from other people using it...
Anyhow, I decided to meet with the seller, I checked out every aspect of the device and checked to see if there was any damage, mould or dust in the lenses.
Everything seemed to check out pretty well, so I decided to buy the sodding thing!
About a week later, my friends and I went out to go pay a visit to the woods near Heeten, and check out the nearby Abbey over there. I managed to make a few nice pictures, and it was a lovely day, such nice temperature and good looking nature.
